Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul

We novices had the Opportunity to visit the home of 60 Jewish and Arab children with special needs. The home of the children is cared by the daughters of Charity, Saint Vincent of Paul in Ein Karem. We had strong feelings of emotions walking through the living quarters of this children so many of them are young adults. We marbled at  the love of God  which is revealed in the Goodness of people who open their hearths to give time and love in serving the mentally handicapped that despite their  physically and mentally handicapped  want to give love and want to be loved.

The day of our feast there was a palpable excitement, we recieved gifts, greetings and cards from Sion´s family. We had games after, the novices prepared questions from the five books of Fr. Theodore and Sr. Rita prepared questions too from the Scripture. Everyone enjoyed claiming their prizes. We ended our day with an Irish coffee prepared by Sr. Collete and Sr. Maureen Cusick. A big thanks to everyone for your untiring supports!

Laughing is my weak point

He was a cheery man who liked to joke and lough: “you know that laughing is my weak point,” he confessed to Sophie and certainly his playfulness, his good nature were not the least charming  things about his letters. They also exude a feeling of joy because he loved life and everything in it that was good and beautiful. For him everything  was a spring-board to God: nature, light, stars, fire, flowers, animals. Visit of Pope Francis in Holy Land

I couldn’t believe to be near the pope. I never thought to have this unbelievably experience and never dreamed to see the Pope here in Jerusalem. Amazing I was able to tough Pope Francis hand and  I admire him for being involved and calling to act for justice and peace  especially to us, as religious. It was a great joy to be able to see Pope Francis closely and to pray with him for peace and harmony in the Holy Land despite of cultural and religious differences. I have no words to express my happiness how significant is for me, having had the opportunity to see and tough Pope Francis, his presence was a big blessing.
